For over 30 years, first quietly and slowly  and finally, loud and IN YOUR FACE, we know about Safe for the environment goods. Things that are recyclable, things that return to the ground, and THINGS THAT DON’T. Good recycles are applauded, bad ones are sometimes fined!

ON the surface, that seems logical and easy to follow.  It is NOT. Something critical is missing!

Buying a thing that is recyclable or that returns to mother earth IS NOT ENOUGH.

We need to buy those things made by democratic nations. Why? Stop laughing! Why does it matter
who makes something as long as it is environmentally friendly!? It matters a lot.

Prior to [in the last 50 years] 2008, Americans had “full employment,” a fairly safe place to live
and not too many people who wanted us “gone.”  We bought from any company, anywhere, that
was legal to buy from, PERIOD.

In time, however, our “full” employment began to disappear. While the term “full employment”
is an economics term, its consequences are common language terms. When we care
from whom we buy, we help assure ourselves of jobs for everyone who wants to work. When
we don’t care whom we buy from, our green maker jobs go to Communist and Socialist nations–whom we have fought in battle or whom we should fight now–nations who laugh at us while they sell us good. Nations that attack our computers, nations that grow Al Quedas members, nations that offer no freedoms for different members of their respective societies.

Remember Nike a few years ago? We got in an uproar when we heard that kids in unsafe shacks or manufacturing plants were getting sick or injured making our shoes. We demanded the importer of Nike Shoes stop those practices. Not sure if he did but we never heard about it again.

I assure you in mid 2009, today, we hear about our job losses. We should be hearing about them as OUT sourced goods being made in Socialist nations and in Communist nations are making our green goods and when they can, those nations will either con us in other ways, or attack us with human bombers or aerial bombers. Is this radical, unrealistic talk? No. The N. Koreans and Chinese attack our US defense computers every day of the week–seeking any weakness. Why would they care? Cause
they want to use our purchasing riches to arm themselves and attack our democracy.  Those are not random, insignificant actions. Our enemies are not inherantly rich; they can only attack us with our own money.

If we analyze where Democratic nations are that can make the goods we want to consume we can restrict our buying to European nations, many South American nations or we can do what we did before ww1 and ww11, we can act as “isolationists” and stop sending any jobs overseas!

Our federal government would immediately say “if we do that, some nations [China] who hold government bonds, will cash them in prematurely and harm our federal deposits.  Good. Let them and give them our newly printed dollars. Get rid of the obligation.

We residents of the USA cannot afford to seriously think that sending jobs overseas is any good for our economy. We had an unemployment rate of under 4% in 2007. Today, it is 5x that. We can return
to 4% if we stop OUT sourcing all jobs. We can if we stop buying anything from China.

We can if we return to “Made in America”!!!

Beginners' Online Flamenco Guitar Lessons: Basic Right-hand Positions

The foundation for all right-hand movements is the "basic playing position." To play in this position, place your hand so that the line made by your knuckles lies almost parallel to the strings of your guitar, placing your thumb to the left of your fingers.

To play a section using just your thumb, move your forearm slightly forward, your thumb descending on the strings at a steeper angle than in the basic playing position. Keep the arch of your wrist higher, the palm of your hand facing your right shoulder, the line of your knuckles at an angle across the strings. Flex your index and middle fingers slightly, your fingertips lightly touching the golpeador, right under the first string and close to the bridge. Extend your ring and little finger forward to stabilize your hand. Only your thumb will be able to move. Relax your wrist. Now, first lift your thumb, and then swing it downward, making sure that the entire movement flows only from its joint at your wrist. This is called a thumbstroke. The power generated by the stroke assists your thumb, which falls naturally onto the string. With practice, your thumbstroke will develop great power.

To play "apoyando," move the tip of your thumb in a line downward and inward --toward the front of your guitar. After hitting the string, continue to move your thumb until its movement is stopped by silent contact with the next higher string. Your thumb should travel toward the middle of your third finger.

5. Provide a little background
A little background about your product is necessary to have a sense of security and identity. The fact that you are willing to give a little more information about your product gives you more credibility and the audience will be at ease with you.

However, avoid giving backgrounds about your company and stick with the product that you are marketing. Remember that your brochures are about the product and not about your company. Long histories of companies and corporations bore the audience and make them disinterested.

Left-handed Electric Guitars

What is a left-handed electric guitar? Can’t you just flip a regular electric guitar over, string it backwards, and call it a left-handed guitar?

Well, maybe south paw acoustic guitar players can do that, but for any serious guitarist, that is sacrilege. As for the left-handed electric guitarist, however, that is simply asking too much. Due to the positioning of the electric pickup control knobs, simply flipping and restringing an electric guitar is not an option. The knobs that control the electric qualities of the guitar are situated on the body near the bottom of the strings. The placement of these knobs is relevant to comfort and convenience so that the musician can manipulate them with only a slight movement of his strumming/picking hand. Therefore, simply restringing a right-handed electric guitar will not result in a satisfactory instrument for the left-handed musician, even if he did concede to sacrilege.

How is a left-handed electric guitar any different from a regular electric guitar?
A left-handed guitar is one that is strung in the opposite order of a regular guitar because, as the chords and picking styles are designed to move from lower to higher notes, the thicker strings are placed at the top of the instrument’s body (as it is positioned against the body of the musician) and the thinner strings at the bottom. A left-handed guitar is held with body of the instrument in front and to the right of the musician, the neck reaching out to the left. The fingers on the left hand are then used to press the strings against the neck so that when the strings are strummed or picked with the right hand, the desired notes are produced.

Until only the past couple of decades, left-handed guitarists were encouraged to learn to play regular guitars simply because of a very limited availability of left-handed instruments, and even fewer chord books designed for left-handed guitars. It was also considered to not be very important since playing the guitar is ultimately a 2-handed art. People just accepted that no matter whether you are right-handed or a “lefty”, you would have to develop strength, flexibility, and speed with both hands, so there must not be much need for a specially designed guitar for lefties.

Lefties are strong-minded, though, and so the market finally had to respond to the need. Left-handed musicians no doubt spurred the growth of custom designed instruments also filling the market. Even though there are many more companies today manufacturing left-handed electric guitars, the fact remains that when you are out in the world of guitars, you are more likely to find awesome electric guitars that are not made for the south paw. Don’t let this discourage you though because even a quick web search will bring up thousands of retailers, one of which is bound to have your dream left-handed electric guitar!

Lights

The lights have naturally blonde hair, fair skin and light blue, green or grey eyes. When light women are young (in their 20s) many will admire the contrast between the colour of their hair and black clothing but as they mature, black will look heavy and ageing and show up fine lines. If you are light and want to wear black go for black lace with a lighter shade of cream or pink showing through. This is a popular look and readily available this season. Deeps

Black can be worn by the cools but should be avoided directly under the chin as this can cause shadows. Black in tweeds and denims are flattering and won’t be as harsh as solid black. Black velvet is a good option for evening as its soft texture absorbs the light. Again dresses should have low necklines and pearls make the perfect accessory.

 

Clears

The clears have dark hair, lighter skin and bright blue, green or topaz eyes. Black looks striking on the clears but as they have a lot of contrast in their own colouring, matt black from top to toe can be a little bland. Add vibrant or icy colours to the black to really inject the wow factor and balance the look. Fabrics with black and white patterns such as dogtooth have good contrast that will complement the clears’ colouring. If an outfit is all black, white gold, silver or platinum can add contrast.

 

Softs

The softs have dark blonde or light brown hair, eyes that are soft blue, brown, hazel or green and little contrast between hair, skin and eyes. Black is quite over-powering for the softs and medium depth colours work better. If you are soft and want to wear black, go for textured fabrics such as tweeds that soften the look of the black. Again, black lace over something soft will work well. If wearing plain black items such as a top, soften the look with a grey, stone or medium-depth coloured jacket, cardigan or scarf.

Colour Your World - Part 2

The colour green has used for interior designs across the centuries. Green is available is a wide range of different hues and shades all offering a completely different look to a room.

The Power of the Qb at the Flex Position

I hope you are enjoying what little time is left of the Fantasy off-season by studying hard and reviewing last seasons outstanding draft selections, and mistakes. I’ve enjoyed reviewing the Fantasy Jungle Draft for League 18 a few times with friends, and discussing what went so right for this squad that won an extremely tough league featuring three teams that placed in the Top 45 regular season scorers.

When discussing how this team won, my reply has been consistent; “Rex Grossman was available on the Waiver Wire”…yup, even though we picked up Marques Colston off the wire after week #1, the key Free Agent was Rex Grossman. He added so much flexibility (no pun intended) to the lineup decision each week. How could a marginal QB do that? The answer is consistency, and plenty of it from the Flex spot.

Let’s take a look at the lineup requirements. Fantasy Jungle teams must start 2 RBs and 3 WRs each week, and that means 24 RBs at a minimum are started each week, while 36 WRs at a minimum are started. The weekly average for RB #25 (a RB filling the Flex spot) was 12.3 points scored; he’s the best possible scoring #3 RB available on average each week. The weekly average for WR #37 (A WR filling the Flex spot) was 11 points scored, representing the best possible scoring #4 WR available on average each week. I’m bolding on average because some teams obviously had a much higher scoring RB or WR filling the Flex spot, but that doesn’t affect the lineup requirement. The weekly average for QB #13 (a QB filling the Flex spot) is….16.1 points per game, a 4 point per week advantage over RB #25 and a 5 point per week advantage over WR #37. To equate that 16.1 to a RB weekly score, you would need to have 3 RBs that finished in the Top 11 in scoring on your roster. To equate that to a WR you would have to have 4 WRs that finished in the Top 11 on your roster, a much harder task at the draft. The QB that scored 12.3 points per game on average is QB #47! Your chances of outscoring the finest of WRs and RBs are substantial each week with a QB in the Flex spot.

The depth at QB is easier to deal with, when drafting a Jungle team it’s sweet to load up on WRs and RBs through 6 rounds and then start taking the QBs that are left. I was drafting in League 18 in 2006 and the 7th Round had Trent Green (my team), Mike Vick, Drew Bledsoe, and Brett Favre in it. Two guys that finished Top 12, and going on to later rounds Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Jon Kitna, Chad Pennington, Steve McNair and Ben Roethlisberger were drafted. All but Green averaged better than 16.5 points per game, the equivalent of Reggie Bush at RB and Lee Evans at WR with a much lower draft day price tag. QBs are easier to deal with on a week to week starter basis, you can be confident that your guy is getting the start with certainty and can reasonably expect a quality score from him. If he’s faltering the head coach will pull a Mike Shanahan and announce that “Jake Plummer needs to play better or we’ll put the other guy in” giving plenty of fair warning for the Fantasy world to adjust their thinking.

There is one downside to making the QB your Flex player, and it’s fairly straight forward, and that is that the “upside” potential each week is limited. Although you’ll get a guy that is consistent and won’t pay a high price, the fact is that most weeks the Top scoring QB was around 29 Jungle Points and the 12th QB was right around 19 Jungle points, a fairly limited window of upside. The best way to look at this, is if you believe the rest of your team is strong each week you can take advantage of the Power Schedule with a solid known 16-19 fantasy points from this position, but it may cost you some potential wins because your team isn’t as explosive.

QBs are generally undervalued in Fantasy Leagues these days due to their numbers being so close on a week over week basis. I’m a strong advocate of waiting to take them in most drafts but the Fantasy Jungle has added a unique dimension to team building, and it brings the value back up for a forgotten position.
